Duties and responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex accounting advisory and financial reporting issues around deals (both public and private) and other transformational issues
- Offering expert guidance and support for accounting processes and financial reporting
- Duties include assessing accounting treatments, evaluating existing financial reporting processes, and providing recommendations for improvements
- Developing accounting policies and procedures, and providing assistance throughout the financial preparation processes
- Communicate the accounting and financial reporting advisory results and other opportunities for improvements to clients’ personnel and senior leadership based on leading practices
- Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative professional relationship with the clients, engagement or project teams to provide well-coordinated and consistent results
- Participate in the firm’s go-to-market activities, identify new business opportunities and develop proposals
- Research and identify the latest markets trends, tools, challenges and craft customized solutions across industries. Create these databases and work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop appropriate materials on the latest challenges and solutions

- Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others
- Perform accounting research related to complex transactions and create written outputs summarizing the application of the accounting guidelines to the specified transactions
- Evaluate, design, and implement best practices to support the operations of accounting and finance departments
- Responsible for executing solutions to complex issues involving accounting and finance processes and technical accounting matters.
- Communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally and provide accounting and financial reporting support to clients in various industries
- Advise clients on how to improve and optimize accounting and finance operations and provide other valuable recommendations.
Salary range
R700 000 – R1 750 000 per year depending on experience, skills and qualifications
