Business Intelligence (BI) consists of strategies, methodologies and technologies used by enterprises for data analysis and management of business. Common functions include 

        reporting, online analytical processing, analytics, dashboard development, data mining, process mining, complex event processing, business performance management, 

        benchmarking, text mining, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics. 

        We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our dynamic team. the ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, excellent                            

        communication skills, and a passion for transforming data into meaningful business insights.

  The candidate should possess a solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel, and have a working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, and Business 

        Intelligence (BI) tools, Qlik products would be preferred. This role is perfect for an individual with 5+ years of relevant experience who is eager to contribute to the success of our 

        business through data-driven decision-making.

      Minimum Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science). Experience in fintech or financial services industry. Bonus point for experience in consulting, operations, statistics, predictive analytics, or SaaS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL/MySQL for data extraction and manipulation. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python. R) for data analysis.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau). QlikView/Sense experience is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environemnt.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of data governance and best practice in data management.

       Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges ad translate them into data-driven insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau).
• Write complex SQL/MySQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Provides ad hoc analysis and support to senior management and business units across the organization.
• Collaborate with different teams to improve and automate reporting processes.
• Stay updated on BI best practices and tools to continuously improve our analytics capabilities
• Work jointly with department heads and analysts to define KPIs and reports for company-wide performance measurement.
• Implement reports and dashboards using Enterprise reporting software.
• Maintain a corporate repository of metric definitions, ensuring clarity and consistency.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and seek data-based insights for business operations improvement.

          Salary ranges

• R860,500 – R1,370,000 per year (depending on experience, skills and qualifications)
